National Tap Dance Day is a national holiday commemorating Tap Dance as an American art form.  This concert is Houston's official city-wide National Tap Dance Day celebration, bringing together professional tap dancers from all over the state of Texas and local tap dance ensembles for an evening of history-sharing and history-making.  Accompanied by acclaimed saxophonist Stephen Richard, this will be an evening of both new and historic choreographic works. Audience members will be taken on an unforgettable journey through tap's golden eras as we honor and remember this uniquely American dance.
