Classical Arts Society presents the Spring Music Festival, featuring area Indian classical dance and music teachers presenting a tribute to T. Balasaraswati on her birth centenary and also a full-length Veena concert by 16-year-old prodigy Ramana Balachandran. There is also a Mother's Day tribute songs of Devi Kritis by area artists.

Admission is free, however, a ticket reservation is required. Seating is limited.

  • 10:45 AM - Centenary Celebrations of the Legendary T. Balasaraswati by Leading Houston Area Music & Dance Teachers
    • Dancers: Rathna Jumar, Padmini Chari, Indrani Parthasarathy, Sunanda Nair, Lavanya Rajagopalan, Surabhi Veeraraghavan, Madhuri Mukhopadhyay, Lavanya Prabhu, Meenakshi Venkatraman.
    • Musicians: Anuradha Subramanian, Geetha Radhakrishnan, Manjula Rao, Vishal Setlur
  • 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM - Lunch Break
  • 1:30 PM - Houston Area Senior Musicians celebrating Mother's Day with Devi Kritis by Prema Bhat, Purnima Bhat, Neela Chakravarthy, Laxmi Vidyasagar, Jothi Venkatest, Shriya Vaishnavi Alli, Satvika Parthasarathi, Shobhana Srikant, Accompanists: Manjula Rao, Naga Srinidhi Kuruvada
  • 2:30 PM - Grand Finale Concert by 16-year-old Veena prodigy Ramana Balachandran from Bangalore, with Sumesh Narayanan - Mridangam
