Seeking to capitalize on the local growth of early music programming and period-instrument expertise, Houston Early Music Festival is an intermational platform for showcasing Houston's growing talent pool and flourishing early music organizations. A longtime goal of artistic director Matthew Dirst (Ars Lyrica Houston) and Antoine Plante (Mercury Houston), the sucess of the initial Houston Early MusicFestival in March 2013 encouraged partner organizations to continue and expand the program. 

The combined efforts of five distinctve and innovative early music organizations will provide an excellent educational platform and multiple opportunitites to bring greater awarenss to Houston's extraordinarily diverse and robust arts scene.
