Benefit Concert for Canadian, TX Wildfire Relief

Featuring the music of emerging composer Alex Moreno, native of Canadian, TX

Wildfires have burned well more than 1,000,000 acres in the Texas Panhandle this Spring. At one point, the Smokehouse Creek Fire was burning at the rate of 150 football fields a minute. It devastated the small town of Canadian, Texas. People there lost their homes, businesses, ranches, livestock, pets, cars, and livelihoods. The composer, Alex Moreno, is a native of Canadian, Texas. He is a graduating senior at the prestigious Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. Alex organized this concert to raise money for the community that has given so much to him. The concert will feature some of Alex‘s original compositions and will include performances by Shepherd School musicians.
