The African Music Library in conjunction with Piql and Ibajie is excited to present to you Ki’mon! The Eastern Nigerian Afro-Funk Revolution: 1970-1980. Ki'mon! is a documentary directed by lawyer and historian Nze Ed Emeka Keazor, produced by him and veteran Afro-Funk drummer Eddie Offeyi, and executive produced by Muni King-Keazor, Obi Asika, and Ed Keazor. This documentary delves into the vibrant Afro-Funk music scene in Eastern Nigeria after the Nigerian Biafra War. The film chronicles how a generation of musical legends provided healing and hope through their art, creating a powerful soundtrack for a nation in recovery and transformation.
