ABOUT BE MO HOLY PRODUCTIONS/BOBBY McMORRIS

San Antonio’s dramatist Bobby McMorris work focuses on contemporary urban drama underpinned with humor and Christian values. He is the writer and producer of 13 stage plays.

His plays are: “God Can Change You”, “Momma Said”, “I’m Still a Man”, "Something From Da Past", “A Way Out”, “Caught N Candy”, “Meet Me at the Alter”, "He Loves Me, he Loves Me Knot", “Got’s Ta B Mo Carefool”,  “Got’s Ta B Mo Carefool” II,  'A Perfect Sized Lie' & 'Wishing Upon a Penny'. “Caught N Candy”, which is the first play to be released for DVD sales were selected for distribution by Victory Multimedia in Hollywood. The hit stage play gained popularity as it was later promoted through distribution companies Cushcity and Niya Enterprises.

In honor of Black History month 2007, McMorris was contracted to write and produce the play, "A Way Out" for The Little Carver Theater in San Antonio, TX. An original piece that celebrated African-American's breakthrough of generational curses in search for a better life. In 2008, The City of San Antonio requested “A Way Out” to be performed in majority of the public libraries for Black History month. The play continued to gain recognition as it was requested to be performed on Lackland Air Force Base during an African American Heritage Program in which McMorris received an award.

With theater being his passion and dreams of making it to the Big Screens, McMorris has performed over 40 shows throughout Texas in cities such as: San Antonio, Killeen, Copperas Cove, Temple, Waco, Austin, Seguin, Corpus Christi, Huntsville, Bryan and Wichita Falls.

He has been featured in various articles of the South Texas’ magazine, The Heavenly Messenger, as one of God’s finest playwright to grace the stage. Being recognized as an outstanding African-American playwright He was also featured on the Christian Broadcasting TV Station in Killeen, TX.

Doors for this gifted playwright continues to open being interviewed on the Trinity Broadcasting Network KHCE ‘Joy in Our Town’, Great Day SA, “The Gospel Express”, and “The Black Perspective Show”. He has been featured on the “La Vita” segment of the Corpus Christi News. His play “God Can Change You” aired on the public access station in Corpus Christi, TX.

Reviews of his plays have been featured in San Antonio Express News, S.A. Worship, African American Reflections, SNAP News, San Antonio Black, and The Juice Entertainment Source.
