The Chosen Ones is a new musical by Aaron Alon about a group of LGBTQ+ teens in a conversion therapy camp. The story follows six teens who are part of the same small group led by one of the “ex-gay” counselors. This production is directed and choreographed by Aisha Ussery, with music direction by Phillip D. Hall.   

This world premiere is presented as part of our John Steven Kellett Memorial Series of works relating to LGBTQ+ equity. Thunderclap Productions is funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.

Content Warning: This show contains adult language, descriptions of sexual acts, and content relating to conversion therapy, self-harm/suicide, homophobia, and transphobia.
