VWK Productions was founded by Velvia Keithley, a Houston-area playwright, director, and theatre educator with more than 30 years of experience in Texas theatre. Her work explores history, identity, justice, and the resilience of overlooked voices, blending emotional realism with historical research and deeply human storytelling.
A passionate advocate for new work, Keithley is also an arts leader with Script Writers-Houston and a longtime mentor to young performers and playwrights. She holds a Master’s Degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Directing and Playwriting from Texas Tech University.
