Part-Time Box Office Associate

Summary

The Box Office supports the MATCH mission by playing a vital role in the patron experience. Box Office Associates will be one of the first faces that patrons will see when they visit MATCH. They will support the organization through patron service needs such as ticket purchases, production and program information, and general inquiries.

This position is for part-time employment.

Job Function/Responsibilities

  • Providing ticket service, both in person and on the phone, to patrons for productions and exhibits. This includes single ticket purchases, exchanges, donations, group sales, and subscriptions.
  • Resource of information on all current and future productions, performances, exhibits, and events taking place in the MATCH.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to everyone visiting the MATCH.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the building area, especially those areas that are open to the public.
  • Assist with front of house event set up and teardown, as needed.
  • To provide guidance and support to the front of house staff and volunteers as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualification

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience in cash handling
  • Ability to work evenings and on weekends

Preferred

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of visual and performing arts
  • Experience in sales and box office procedures/processes
  • Experience in computerized ticketing systems
