Artists for People

Mission

Our mission is to use art as a tool for collective action, resistance, and resource redistribution—channeling creativity toward care, survival, and social change.Through live performance, resource-sharing, and collective fundraising, Artists For People supports children and families in Gaza affected by conflict, as well as neighbors in Houston impacted by ICE raids and detentions.

About

Artists For People is a one-night community benefit concert bringing together Houston artists in solidarity with global and local struggles for justice. Behind the scenes, the initiative is led by Violet Moon (they/them) in collaboration with Caroline Duble (she/her) and supported by dozens of volunteers and performance artists. This self-run, people-powered effort extends Violet’s ongoing arts advocacy and community organizing in Houston to a larger global network of solidarity. The project is not affiliated with any institution, and all proceeds beyond production costs will be donated directly to Gaza Sunbirds and the Houston Immigrant Legal Services Collaborative.
