Boot Dance Project

Mission

BOOT Dance Project (Building Opportunities for Outstanding Texas Dancers) provides Texas-based dance artists and audiences with enriching opportunities that foster community and artistic development. We aim to support and uplift the Texas dance community through performances, educational initiatives, and collaborative projects. Our work centers on creating spaces where Texas dance artists can thrive and Texas audiences can engage with innovative and meaningful dance.

About

BOOT Dance Project was founded by Texas native Jessie Ferguson, who has long seen Texas as an amazing place to live, create, and build something meaningful. With deep roots in the Texas dance community, she has always believed that Texas has the potential to be a leading force in the dance world. Jessie’s vision for this project is not just about creating dance but about building a community connected to the unique energy of Texas. There are three pillars to BOOT Dance Project Performance, Artist Development and Audience Engagement. These pillars are designed to uplift and showcase the work of Texas-based dancers, choreographers, and educators. Whether through performances, mentorship programs, or community initiatives, BOOT Dance Project is dedicated to growing Texas into a vibrant hub for dance.
