Our mission is to give children, youth, and adults from all walks of life access to music education, using music as a way to promote social inclusion, personal growth, and strong values. Inspired by Venezuela’s El Sistema, we work to build unity and community through group music-making, making music a positive force for change in the lives of our students and the communities they belong to.
El Sistema Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to changing lives through music. Inspired by Venezuela’s El Sistema, we offer children, youth, and adults—regardless of background or financial situation—access to high-quality music education. Since starting in 2022, we’ve grown with the belief that music is a basic right and a powerful tool for bringing people together.
Through our orchestral and choral programs, we help students build discipline, teamwork, and respect, encouraging them to discover their talents and learn values that go beyond music. Today, we serve over 220 students in Houston and are working to expand our programs to reach even more communities with the transformative power of music.
