Garage 713 Studio

Mission

Our mission for Garage 713 is to expound the houston dance community and make houston another place for aspiring artists to thrive. We want to promote the breakdancing, choreography, and freestyle communities because there are a lot of individuals in the city who have talent and create amazing projects. Furthermore, we want to give the space a clean aesthetic that makes people believe in houston art and eventually reach a goal of making houston a pillar of dance similar to cities like LA, Baltimore, New York, Atlanta, etc.

About

The founders of Garage 713, Emily Figueroa and Khalil McNeil are all about giving back and helping their Houston community for the better.

Emily Figueroa is a 25-year-old dancer, teacher, and dance studio owner! Emily grew up in Houston, training mainly in hip hop, tap, and modern dance. Emily has had the pleasure of performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Super Bowl 50, Astroworld with Pharrell, choreographing for artists such as Haleston Dare and Chlo Subia and has also had success being an award-winning choreographer winning over 10+ competitions. She currently manages her family restaurant alongside opening her own dance studio in 2021 and teaching dance throughout the greater Houston area.

Khalil McNeil is the co-studio owner of Garage 713 in Houston, Texas and a working choreographer. He got into the choreography and competition side of the dance community from 2012 to 2021 where his choreography would go on to win numerous awards. Some highlights include dancing in the Justin Bieber “Second Emotion” Music Video, the 2022 Billboard Music Awards with Diddy, and most recently Rihanna's Savage x Fenty Vol. 4 show.  I now hope with owning a studio and having a newfound leadership in the community that he can bring the same drive, love and atmosphere he experienced when he was just starting to dance.
