Set in a dilapidated motel off the bustling Airline Highway, a group of misfits has formed their own unconventional family. They come together to honor and celebrate the life of Miss Ruby, a beloved community figure and former exotic dancer, as she nears the end of her life. The Pilot Dance Project closes its performance season with Prince of Flowers , the company's first repertory concert since 2021! Prince of Flowers includes new dance works by Adam Castañeda, Ashley Horn, and Julie Rubio, with artistic contributions by Sonia Flores, Lynn Lane, and guest ensembles TerraForm(ed) Collective and the Houston Met Dance Adult Ballet Ensemble. Each work on the program explores the beauty of the natural world and the rich symbolism of flower imagery. The Pilot Dance Project's ensemble for this program includes Allyssa Abacan, Ashley Boykin, Adam Castañeda, Dorianne Castillo, Cynthia Garcia, Keeley Dunnam, Sierra Johnson, Holly Moran, and Kristina Prats.Read more
