The Russian Cultural Center “Our Texas” is proudly presents Moscow Jazz Orchestra, the hottest jazz orchestra in Russia and one of the best big bands in the world. 

Russia's famed jazz personality and saxophone virtuoso Igor Butman founded the orchestra in 1999. Since then his Big Band has frequently toured Russia, Europe, and the USA, appearing at many of the world's most prestigious jazz venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, "Birdland" and others.

Internationally acclaimed artists were excited by performing with the Moscow Jazz Orchestra, among them are Dee Dee Bridgewater, “New York Voices”, Kevin Mahogany, John Pizzarelli, Natalie Cole, George Benson, Wynton Marsalis, Larry Corryell, Billy Cobham, Bill Evans, Joe Lovano, Gary Burton, and Toots Thielemans.

During the last few years Igor Butman and Moscow Jazz Orchestra have participated in many jazz festivals in Europe, among them:  “Jazz A Juan” (France), “Zadymka Jazzowa” (Poland), Wigan Jazz Festival (Great Britain), and Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy).  Igor and his Big Band also performed at Newport Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Rochester Jazz Festival, Syracuse Jazz Festival in the USA, and Montreal Jazz festival and Ottawa Jazz Festival in Canada.

The concert in Houston is one of only 4 stops of the Moscow Jazz Orchestra tour in the USA. The jazz lovers are in for the transcendent musical experience.
