We explore the multicolored sound-world of the theremin, an electronic instrument played without physical contact by the performer. Leipzig-based theremin wunderkind Carolina Eyck joins Apollo for her first ever concert in the Bayou City, with an arresting theremin-featuring septet by Czech composer Martinů and new works by Ms. Eyck.
- Carolina Eyck: Eternity, Elephant in Green, Music on a Painting, Soliloquy
- Bohuslav Martinů: Fantasia for Theremin, Oboe, Piano and String Quartet (1944)
