Pop Up Kino presents Head-On, Fatih Akin's 2004 breakout hit and winner of the Best European Film Award and the Berlinale's prestigious Golden Bear. A raw, provocative drama, the film follows a marriage of convenience between Cahit, a self-destructive punk rocker in his 40s, and Sibel, a young suicidal women oppressed by her traditional Turkish family.  

University of Houston Professor Dr. Sandra Frieden will introduce the film.
