Cuánto vale una heladera (How much is a refrigerator worth) is a funny and touching story about a woman who demands a new refrigerator after the one she bought burns out due to a power surge. This generates absurd situations that are too close to our reality. Written by one of the most widely read authors in Argentina and worldwide, the work subtly addresses, through humor, the theme of reclaiming identity in a modern, globalized, and bureaucratic world.

It is a warm and amusing work about the complexity of love and sisterhood.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Claudia Piñeiro, writer, television scriptwriter, playwright, and economist, graduated in Economics (University of Buenos Aires, Argentina), working as an accountant for several years while preparing her first texts. The first novel published by the author was Un ladrón entre nosotros in 2004, the same year her first theatrical premiere took place: Cuánto vale una heladera (How much is a refrigerator worth). However, Piñeiro's first novel written was El secreto de las rubias, unpublished despite having been among the top ten finalists for the La Sonrisa Vertical Prize. She has received national and international awards for her literary, theatrical, and journalistic work. She is the author of the novels Las viudas de los jueves, which received the Clarín Novel Prize 2005, Tuya, Elena sabe, LiBeraturpreis Prize 2010, Las grietas de Jara, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize 2010, "Betibú, Un comunista en calzoncillos, Una suerte pequeña, and Las maldiciones. Piñeiro has also published children's stories, short stories, and tales like Quién no. Several of her novels have been adapted into film and television. She is one of the most translated Argentine writers into other languages, making her books read and enjoyed by thousands of readers worldwide. In 2019, she was awarded the Pepe Carvalho Black Novel Prize.

Mesa de Saldos (Sale Table)

A man searches for books written and dedicated by hand by his deceased grandfather, whom he deeply admires. When talking about him with others, he develops a tender family story that will captivate us. Claudio Regis easily captures our interest in participating in an intriguing everyday scene.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Claudio Regis is an Argentine actor, director, journalist, and writer. Trained at Carlos Evaristo's school, he acted in various productions in Buenos Aires and directed numerous theater plays. He is the author of the book Short Plays for Microteatro. His texts are currently represented worldwide in acting schools and theater venues. Since 1996, he has hosted the TV program Digital Domain.
