Join Mezclada Dance Company for the world premiere of Mind, Body, & Soul, a three-act dance concert created and choreographed by Joel Aguilera, one of the 2024 Olympic Games Breaking Coach. This groundbreaking production brings the structure and spirit of Olympic-style breaking to the concert stage, fused with the bold aesthetics of jazz, postmodern, and Latin dance.

Each act of Mind, Body, & Soul is centered on one of the three core elements of human experience—mind, body, and soul—inviting the audience into a journey that is both physical and emotional. Through explosive choreography, athletic technique, and powerful storytelling, the work illuminates the complexity and beauty of personal transformation.

The performance features Mezclada’s talented cast: Joel Aguilera, Lizzy Aguilera, Julia Cipriani, Hector Cisneros, Sonia Engman, Celeste Francis, Sydni Lee, Cyler Ledbetter, Kenny Louis, Elyssa Vega, AnnMarie Walling, Mrince Williams, and more.

Following the final performance, Mezclada invites the public to continue the celebration with Mezclada Community Arts Day on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. This family-friendly event will include dance classes, Mezclada’s educational shows, arts activities, guest performances, vendors, and more—offering creative experiences for all ages and skill levels.

The week kicks off with a Free Community Class Night on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, open to dancers and community members interested in connecting with Mezclada’s unique approach to movement, culture, and collaboration.

Mind, Body, & Soul is more than a show—it’s a dynamic reflection of the power of dance to unite communities, honor culture, and express the full range of human experience. From the concert stage to the classroom, Mezclada Dance Company continues to redefine what it means to move with purpose.
