This December, Cantos Navideños returns with its richest sound yet. For the first time, a full symphonic chamber orchestra joins the celebration, wrapping the season's best loved Venezuelan and Latin American carols in fuller, more sweeping arrangements. At the center of the evening is Inés María Bravo, the beloved Venezuelan singer whose luminous voice has carried these songs into Houston's heart for years, now surrounded by an ensemble of accomplished musicians bringing new depth and grandeur to every aguinaldo and parranda.

Close your eyes and you are back in a childhood December: hallacas simmering in the kitchen, a pesebre glowing beneath the tree, neighbors gathering porch to porch with cuatro and maracas in hand. The repertoire draws from that same well of memory, from tender favorites like "El Niño Jesús Llanero" to the livelier parrandas that once carried carolers from house to house through the night. Every melody is an invitation to remember, to sing along, and to feel the warmth of a Venezuelan Christmas fill the room.
