Preacher: The Last One

Written by Donna Holloway
Directed by John-Michael Manley

Preacher: The Last One  is a compelling gospel play written by Donna Holloway. Set within the walls of a small Pentecostal church, the story centers on Pastor Warfield, a modern-day preacher who has fully committed his life to serving God. Throughout the play, Pastor Warfield faces significant challenges on his spiritual journey, confronting issues such as sex, jealousy, politics, and encounters with demonic spirits.

As Pastor Warfield strives to embody the true spirit of a man of God, he must navigate complex and difficult situations. These trials test his faith and dedication, highlighting the struggles that arise when worldly concerns threaten to interfere with spiritual growth and devotion. At a crucial point in the play, members of the congregation encourage Pastor Warfield to lead a much-needed revival. This event becomes a turning point, prompting the church community and Pastor Warfield to recognize the sacred purpose of their church as a temple devoted to serving God.

The play emphasizes that worldly problems and distractions should not overshadow the importance of maintaining a sincere heart focused on uplifting God’s work. Preacher: The Last One is a drama that invites the audience to actively participate in singing and praising the Lord. The play delivers a powerful spiritual message and reinforces the themes of worship and dedication.
