The Cultural Exchange 8-Year Anniversary: Tiny June + Friends

Join us as we celebrate 8 years of Tiny June + Friends—a project that has grown into what is now The Cultural Exchange.

What began as a series of intimate performances and community gatherings has evolved into a broader platform dedicated to using art as a catalyst for connection, advocacy, and cultural storytelling. While the name has evolved, the mission remains the same: to bring people together through music and the arts while amplifying stories of culture, heritage, and the issues that shape our communities.

Over the past eight years, Tiny June + Friends has produced events that have raised awareness for causes including the political crisis in Nicaragua, sexual abuse prevention, and other community-driven initiatives. By partnering with local organizations and creating space for meaningful conversations, these events have connected audiences with resources, encouraged dialogue, and demonstrated the power of art to inspire action.

Today, that work continues through The Cultural Exchange, an extension of Tiny June + Friends that expands the vision by presenting multidisciplinary events that celebrate cultural identity, heritage, and the voices of artists whose stories deserve to be heard.

This anniversary show will feature Tiny June alongside SIMPLE HOUSE, including Red Lion Poetry, for an evening of music, spoken word, and community. Together, these performances reflect the collaborative spirit that has been at the heart of the project since its inception.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will support the shipment of gently used skate equipment to communities throughout Nicaragua. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young people and strengthen communities across borders.
