Performance Series on Bellydance with Frame Drum in the Dance Cohesion Style
Develop yourself as a performer, bellydancer, and frame drummer in this live performance project! Learn and perform April Rose’s signature Dance Cohesion system for bellydancing while playing the frame drum. You’ll learn to play frame drum in the upright style, several bellydance rhythms, and a way to link rhythms together improvisationally with others. We’ll add bellydance movements to our drumming, master some Dance Cohesion bellydance combinations, and put together an ensemble performance of bellydance with a frame drum that highlights each dancer!
If you are a bellydancer who feels the call of the frame drum (or a frame drummer who feels the desire to dance) and you want to practice and perform alongside April Rose with an ensemble of like-hearted dancer percussionists, then you are going to love this experience!

Ready to take your percussion skills to the next level?
Maximize your practice with advanced techniques. Build up your playing arsenal including embellishing popular rhythms with a few easy leads. Apply these skills on your own while playing for dancers, backing up other musicians and shredding at jams.
This workshop builds on the basics of the Jam Boss original song, "ABC", providing a strong foundation to practice these advanced techniques. *Requires strong understanding of doumbek basics

Finger cymbal like a musician by playing multi-tonal techniques, Middle Eastern rhythms, and unique fills. This advanced cymbal class will help you learn to respond to music with complimentary rhythms and know when to fill in or hold the auditory space so that you feel confident in your cymbal musicianship.

This intensive will help percussionists identify popular Middle Eastern rhythms and introduce a variety of doumbek strikes. You will learn practice tools for improving your techniques and connect rhythms that develop into an original drum song, "ABC", composed by Jam Boss Mr.B.
