Please note: MATCH is a rental facility. While we sell tickets for most events held here, some presenters handle their own ticketing. Ticketing details for each event can be found on its individual event page.


Box Office Hours

  • Wednesday–Friday: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Event Days: Opens 2 hours prior to any MATCH-ticketed performance
  • Closed Monday & Tuesday unless a MATCH-ticketed event is scheduled
  • Online sales at matchouston.org are available until 30 minutes before showtime.
    After that time, please purchase tickets in person at the box office.

     

Purchasing & Payment

  • Accepted: Cash, checks, major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay
  • Bills larger than $50 are not accepted
  • No unpaid reservations are allowed
     

Service Fee

MATCH is a nonprofit providing subsidized venue and box office services to small and mid-sized arts organizations.

A $5 per-ticket service fee supports:

  • Online ticketing & website hosting
  • Reporting & administrative systems
  • On-site staffing

Some presenters include this fee in the ticket price; others add it at checkout.
This fee applies to both online and in-person purchases.

Subscriptions & passes are subject to a $2 per-ticket fee.

Discount Tickets

Discounts vary by presenter; not all events offer them.

General guidelines:

  • Senior: Age 65+, unless otherwise noted
  • Students: Valid student ID required
  • Children: Ages 0–13, unless otherwise noted
  • Children sitting in their own seat require a ticket; lap children often do not—please confirm before purchasing
  • Group discounts, when offered, will be listed on the event’s ticketing page
     

Refunds & Exchanges

  • All sales are final unless the event is canceled by the presenter or MATCH
  • Exchanges are usually allowed for events with multiple dates/times
To request an exchange:
  1. Reply to your confirmation email with the new preferred date/time
  2. Call (713) 521-4533

Additional charges apply only if the new performance is priced higher.


Standby / Waiting List

Standby tickets are available for sold-out shows on the day of the performance.

Important notes:

  • Standby does not guarantee entry
  • Admission is first-come, first-served
  • Seating for your full party is not guaranteed
  • You must be in the lobby 5 minutes before showtime
  • If not admitted, you may exchange for another performance or receive a full refund
 

Late Seating

Some events have a NO LATE SEATING policy. This will be clearly stated on the event page and your confirmation email.

  • Late seating is not guaranteed after the show begins
  • When allowed, seating will occur at an appropriate break
  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to ensure timely seating
     

Accessibility

MATCH is fully committed to accessibility for all patrons.

  • Wheelchair-accessible seating available (please call for assistance)
  • Accessible ramps at both building entrances
  • Drop-off/pick-up available via the Travis Street drive-in
  • Accessible parking available in the Mid-Main Garage (first-come, first-served)
  • Accessible/Family restrooms located in the breezeway on the first floor

Assisted Listening
