The Caduceus Theater Arts Company believes provides a platform for artists and performers to share their talents and creative works in a professional engaging environment. The goal is to provide audiences with a high quality theatrical experience that will satisfy the emotions, heal their spirit, and touch their soul.
The Caduceus Theater Arts Company is a new professional theater company that was founded by a medical professional with a strong commitment to the theatre arts community in Houston. It is dedicated to supporting dramatic artists through professional productions, arts education, and community outreach.
Created and founded by Executive Artistic Director, Dr. Michael J. Heard, this theater company brings together artists from across the city of Houston and around the country. Now in its second season, the Caduceus Theater plans productions that range from comedy, musicals, and dark drama. The company supports its artists through scholarships and stipends designed to further education or professional assistance in the community. It is connected closely with The Heard Institute, a private medical practice that has sponsored numerous new and established theater companies in the city including TUTs, Alley Theatre, Stages Repertory Theatre, Rogue Productions, Classical Theatre Company, and Landing Theatre Company. It maintains a small performance theatre contract with Actors Equity Association to enable professional pay for all cast and crew.
The Caduceus Theater Arts Company encourages audiences to become engaged in their productions through emotional connection, thereby finding joy and healing through the power of theater. For more information, visit www.thecaduceustheater.com and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
