Strut was founded when young designer Emily Pennington saw the lack of resources and opportunities for other young designers in her community. Strut was created in order to provide these opportunities. In order to positively impact as many people as she could, not just the designers, Strut became an organization to help children in low income Houston schools as well, by providing them with basic personal goods that may be hard for them to afford.
