David Politzer is an artist/educator who uses photography, video, sculpture and performance to explore the ways technology affects the way we interact with nature and each other. He was born in Washington DC and lives in Houston, TX with his wife and daughter.His solo exhibitions include those at the Museum of Northern Arizona, Grand Central Art Center (upcoming), Artspace (CT and NC), Real Art Ways, Lawndale Art Center, Houston Center for Photography, Galveston Art Center and Western Georgia University. He is the recipient of the 2011 Carol Crow Fellowship from the Houston Center for Photography. Politzer was an artist in residence at Yaddo, Skowhegan, Roswell Artist in Residence, the Museum of Northern Arizona, Djerassi, ArtSpace (NC), and Grand Central Art Center. He’s also Associate Professor of Photography and Digital Media at the University of Houston.
