Under the Artistic Direction of Kelly Ann Vitacca, Vitacca Vocational School for Dance, Houston is in the Montrose area as a school for gifted dancers. Vitacca provides advanced ballet technique, modern and contemporary movement coaching which acts as the foundation for professional dance careers and college preparation. Dancers work with a world-class faculty, notable local artists, and renowned national artists. Each dancer receives personal attention and coaching from faculty and guest artists. Through rigorous technique classes and the creation of advanced repertoire, the school educates the aspiring dancer on the artistic process, a disciplined work ethic and dance industry standards. Vitacca Houston programing offers children’s (ages 2-9) toddlers and tutus, ballet, creative movement, tap and jazz; school training in afternoons and evenings for all levels; pre-professional for the focused dancer ages 10-18. Among many achievements, Vitacca Vocational School for Dance has received: Outstanding School, Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021; Outstanding Choreographer YAGP, and both junior and senior Top 20 YAGP NY Finalist in 2015 and 2017.
