MATCH is a nonprofit organization that uses grants, donations, and ticket fees to provide subsidized rental rates to further our mission of showcasing creative and cultural expressions of our community.
To evaluate how well an event aligns with our mission, we use 5 criteria:
- Renter is a nonprofit organization or fiscally-sponsored project
(or event received a published, peer-reviewed grant, e.g. HAA, TCA, BANF, Idea Fund, etc.) - Renter is local (within 30 miles)
- Event is arts, culture, or education focused
- Event is open to the general public
- Event utilizes MATCH box office (or allows unticketed access to everyone)

Other Fees and Expenses
Deposits
Scheduling Deposit (Event Hold Fee): All events require a scheduling deposit of $100 per performance/event space per week (or part) reserved. Scheduling deposits are applied to the rental fee when a contract is signed, but are nonrefundable if reserved dates aren't used.
Security Deposit: All events require a refundable security deposit of $500 for each performance/event space rented, and due 10 days before the rental date. Security deposits will be refunded as part of the final financial settlement for the event.
Fees (as applicable)
Ticket Fees: $5 for single tickets and $2 for subscription/package tickets sold through MATCH box office, optionally charged to patron. $2 per comp ticket, charged to renter. Please see the MATCH Ticket Policy for details.
Late Fee: $200/hour plus one hour of labor (per technician) will be charged if event runs past the contracted term.
Missed Break Fee: $100 plus one hour of labor (per technician) will be charged if scheduled crew breaks are not honored.
Pass-through Expenses (as applicable)*
Credit Card Processing: 2.8-3.5% (depending on card used) of all patron credit card transactions processed by MATCH.
TULIP Insurance: $130-$200 per performance, unless Licensee provides proof of insurance meeting minimum requirements.
Piano Tuning: $175-$200 each, unless Licensee arranges for alternate professional tuning.
Technical Labor: $30/hour. Four-hour minimum per technician.
Audience Riser Setup: Standard audience configuration for Matchbox 1 and Matchbox 3 is End Stage (see drawings here). Alternative or custom configurations are free for weekly rentals, but may incur additional labor charges for shorter rentals.

Email Blast: $100/ea, limited availability (non-profit events sold through MATCH box office only).
Web Banner: $225/wk, limited availability (non-profit events sold through MATCH box office only).
