No rehearsal. No director. A different performer every night. YOU write the story.

The Garden Theatre is excited to bring the regional premiere of Nassim Soleimanpour's Blank to our audiences. Blank is a follow up to Soleimanpour's internationally acclaimed White Rabbit Red Rabbit , which The Garden Theatre produced in 2022.

In a joint effort between audience and performer, the gaps in the script are filled in to reveal a story that celebrates the human imagination. As formally inventive as it is engaging, Blank reverses the typical theatre experience: A script riddled with blanks leaves the audience in charge of how the story will unfold. The concept might be simple, the result is nothing short of empowering as a random audience member sees his or her future determined by the imagination of others.Read more

World Premiere by by Tamarie Cooper & Patrick Reynolds

What to say about Tamarie that she hasn’t already said herself? In most ways, she’s like anyone. She’s made mistakes, has regrets, told some lies… like running for president or graduating college. She’s had you into her home for holidays, pandemics, and birthday parties. She even went and messed with Texas. What’s left to sing and dance about? Only the best city in the world! That’s right, this year’s Tamarie’s going local. Expect tap dancing tacos, outer-space hijinks, ongoing rivalries with our ugly stepbrothers Austin and Dallas, and a hot, sweaty, no-zoned, unhinged, out-of-this-world examination of H-Town and what makes it so dang special. Directed and choreographed by Tamarie Cooper.Read more
