DiverseWorks is pleased to present the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts 50th Anniversary Alumni Exhibition, The Happening. Formed in 1971, HSPVA represents the first attempt by any public high school in the nation to correlate an academic program with concentrated training in the arts. DiverseWorks hosted HSPVA’s twenty-fifth anniversary exhibition in 1997 and is proud to recognize the lasting impact of this unique institution.
The artists were selected by invitation and through an open call process by Xandra Eden, Executive Director, DiverseWorks; Laura Mott (‘97), Senior Curator of Contemporary Art and Design, Cranbrook Art Museum; and Anthony Suber (‘98), Artist, Educator and VP-Artist Advisory Committee, DiverseWorks.
