TORCH - Island Trap

A hip-hop riff about Black Ulysses on an Odyssey of self-discovery and a powerful exploration of a young artist of color navigating the turbulent waters of contemporary American culture while trying to find his authentic voice. Ticket Information

  • Admission is free, however, a ticket reservation is required. Seating is limited.
  • Seating is general admission (open seating). The theater will open approximately 30 minutes before the workshop begins.
  • IMPORTANT: Unclaimed seats will be released at show time to anyone on a standby list.
  • If your schedule changes and you are not able to attend, please contact the box office so we may release your ticket to waiting attendees.
  • Wheelchair accessible seating is available to individuals who require wheelchair accessible seating themselves or to someone purchasing on their behalf.

Workshop Information

  • Hip-Hop Theatre & Film workshop is designed for students interested in exploring Hip-Hop Theatre & Film as a means of personal and collective expression through verse-based performance. Austin Dean Ashford will lead the participants through voice and movement exercises and contemporary verse prompts.
  • The workshop will be one-hour in length. 
  • This workshop is suitable for age 8 and up.
  • No outside food or drinks are allowed on the premises.
