The event is free and open to all interested in learning more about the intersection of dance and medicine!
The dance forms featured in the 2026 PTDX are aerial, African, and heels. Presenters include Jessica Figueroa, Tracie Jackson, and Michelle Reyes. The panel and Q&A will be facilitated by Daisy Su.
Event Highlights:
Training Aspects and Injury Prevention Delve into the world of dance as experts shed light on the training regimens that shape dancers and how that varies by dance form. Presenters will explore dance form specificity (footwear, flooring, apparatus, etc.), the importance of flexibility/mobility/strength, repetitive movements, common injuries, and more.
Performance & Technique Insights:

Knowledge Sharing & Q&A:
The session will close with an opportunity to engage in an insightful Q&A where you can pose questions to dancers, creating a platform for collaborative learning.
