The Crimson Vagabond Roadshow is creating opportunities for dancers & musicians of all levels to focus on developing their artistic work & practice, connect with other artists, build their performances and all while carving out the path towards their dreams of shining in the spotlight.
Over the years we have learned so much!
Together we learned to weather the storm by making a comeback after hurricane Harvey. The rain nearly washed away all of our hard work, but we gathered our resources and hunkered down to return when the sun was shining again.
We learned to use our art to deal with isolation when an emergency quarantine took away our dance studio collaborations and homegrown community showcases. Our gatherings moved online and we hosted the first “Crimson Vagabond Roadshow Film Festival”. We found support from our local Arts community and became the beneficiary of fiscal sponsorship from Fresh Arts.
And most recently, we learned to challenge our skills by reaching for the stars. After discovering we had outgrown the pot we found ourselves planted, we took a chance on expanding our weekend festival into a 6-week online performance intensive that culminates in 2 live showcases in a proscenium theater.
Like any garden, year after year a new chapter is written for an ancient story as old as time. A star is born waiting to be seen and The Crimson Vagabond Roadshow carves out the space for them to shine. From our fans to students to performers, from the passionate hobbyist to the career professional; everyone is welcome to bloom at our Roadshow.
