Ces't La Vie, new work by founder and artistic director Beth Gulledge-Brown inspired by her trip to France, the piece is about friendships, love and life.

My Teenage Crush – 1999, paying homage to the “Rom-Com’s” of the 80’s like Pretty In Pink, Say Anything and Sixteen Candles, this is a story of two high school seniors Candice and Terrence making their way through life. Candice is cheerlead-ing captain, prom queen and valedictorian. She has everything going for her but she is in love with Terrence, a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. They both love each other very much but when graduation nears Terrence comes to the realization that he is holding Candice back. So, he selflessly breaks up with her so she has no reason to stay in the small town they grew up in and attend the college of her dreams. In the end, they both come to terms with their feelings and realize sometimes in order to reach your full potential you have to make sacrifices. They learn that if you can see your self worth, the sky’s the limit.

This story is set to Billboard’s biggest hits of 1999, the year Uptown Dance Company was opened. So let’s take a stroll down memory lane as we celebrate 25 years of exceptional dance.
