Emerging from the urgent need to address the departure of Black artists seeking opportunities outside our city, Shabach Enterprise, a minority-led non-profit organization, has created a platform for prominent arts groups in the Downtown Houston district to show unified, meaningful support for the advancement of African-American artists.
In collaboration with our vibrant arts community, this festival will simultaneously showcase the diverse works of African-American performances in film, music, poetry, and theatre. It will also provide a dynamic lineup of workshops, performances, readings, screenings, and discussions to cultivate a greater appreciation for diverse perspectives.

Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Alley Theatre, Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, Ensemble Theatre, Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet, Stages Theatre, and MATCH – Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston.

A dynamic and immersive arts experience for young creatives, the Fade To Black Arts Festival Youth Camp provides hands-on training in performance, visual arts, and storytelling. Designed to inspire and empower the next generation, this camp nurtures artistic expression while honoring the legacy of Black artistry.
