Friends of River Oaks Theatre acts as a passionate steward to preserve the historic River Oaks Theatre as an iconic cultural destination for the benefit of all. Through programming, we work to bring the world together and make it richer and more accessible by facilitating: understanding, art, and the art of film. We uphold the theatre as a cool destination linking the film industry and film tourism to Houston. As a community-based nonprofit, we are dedicated to helping the River Oaks Theatre thrive as a historic, independent art house venue.
