NobleMotion Dance (NMD), one of Texas’s premier dance companies, is recognized for their intense physicality, unique collaborations, and jaw-dropping performances. NMD accolades include being featured on the Emmy Award winning ABC TV show American Crime. NMD collaborated with Academy Award winner John Ridley to develop a four-minute contemporary choreography that was shown in its entirety on primetime TV and drew an audience viewership of 4 million. In 2015, 2016 and 2019, Houston Press named NMD “Houston’s Best Dance Company” following sold out performances at Houston’s downtown performance venue The Hobby Center. Other achievements include being accepted to the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster and graduation from the Houston Arts Alliance three-year Resident Incubator Program. The company has received over 50 positive reviews and been featured in articles from national critics including publications in Entertainment Weekly, Dance Magazine, Dance Teacher, The Houston Chronicle, The Houston Press, and Arts+Culture. NMD was also featured in The New York Times bestselling book, Dancers Among Us. Since 2021, NMD has collaborated with the UH BRAIN Center, led by Dr. Jose Contreras-Vidal, and composer Anthony Brandt to explore the neural mechanisms of dancers’ brain activity. This pioneering research was showcased at the United Nations “AI for Good” Global Summit, a TEDx Talk, and Wolf Trap for the Performing Arts, earning the prestigious Chamber Music America’s 2025 Interdisciplinary Collaboration of the Year Award.We believe in engaging a broad audience by creating a total theater experience.
