Nuestra Señora de las Nubes mapea la experiencia de la diáspora como una condición existencial de desarraigo permanente, en este caso inspirada en la historia del exilio latinoamericano. El exilio, en esta obra, se convierte no sólo en la pérdida física de la propia patria, sino en la erosión de la capacidad de permanecer dentro de los propios recuerdos.
