Mission

Tee Zee Productions was established in 2018 by Tazeen Zahida supported only by family, close friends and community elders, this company makes up for the absence of a platform for South Asian performing artists and writers. Tee Zee Productions strives to work as an incubator for the new and upcoming actors, directors, stage managers and writers of BIPOC origin. It is our mission to explore local Houstonian talent of BIPOC origin.

About the playwright and founder:

Born in Karachi and raised in Saudi Arabia, an unapologetic bilingual, Tazeen Zahida writes plays in English and Urdu. Her work is inspired by current affairs, social issues, family dynamics and her experiences of living in the Middle East and America. Tazeen aims to
represent the under-represented and tell the untold stories of an immigrant culture.She has been a commissioned writer from SPA( Society For The Performing Arts Houston) and Silicon Valley Shakespeare. Her series of interviews (Pass-e-Aaina) made it to the finalist at the Miller Audio Contest, University Of Missouri. The PSA(Pakistan Students Association) of. University of Houston will be producing her latest script in their annual 2022 Gala. Calling herself a lifelong learner she has recently graduated from Fort Bend Business Initiative and Bauer College of Houston’s SURE program.
