Musiqa and NobleMotion, known for their innovative collaborations, present Meeting of Minds – a fusion of music, dance, immersive projection design, and cutting-edge neuro-engineering on January 19 and 20 at 7:30 pm at the MATCH in midtown Houston. The evening will feature music by Anthony Brandt, Badie Khaleghian, Marcus Maroney, and Karim Al-Zand, choreography by Andy and Dionne Noble, and brain-computer interface technology by Jose Contreras-Vidal and the University of Houston’s BRAIN Center - offering a unique blend of artistic and scientific exploration that promises to be unlike anything seen on Houston stages.Read more

The Trap

A groom on a honeymoon in a mountain village - reports the disappearance of his wife to the police. Indeed, she has not returned for a few days, following a dispute, and he is worried. When the priest of the village arrives and tells the husband that he has found his wife and that she is behind the door, the stupefaction of the husband is total: this woman who presents herself as being his wife is not. But, to make matters worse, no one knows the "real" Mrs. Corban, given the novelty of this relationship. This Mrs Corban says loud and clear that her husband is amnesic and to confirm her words, she lends herself to an interrogation in order and gets a perfect score. Is he mad or is there a gang of criminals bent on him? A fantastic story follows immediately, where laughter and mystery intersect over the minutes and where the viewer sometimes has the impression of being in the trap…Read more

We want the stories told in Houston to reflect the diversity of Houston. People who come to the U.S. as refugees, asylees, and immigrants do not always get to tell their story to a citywide audience. We are trying to change that.Read more

A young man’s with internal issues struggle to get out of a violent street gang aided by family and community that helps him do it. Mental and emotional health issues along with social problems of drug abuse affect DeVonte’s attempts to find peace and righteousness. The story embraces the after effects of at-risk youth in our forgotten communities. Questioning the canvas of community ills, gangs, drugs, at-risk families, horrific pandemic conditions and other issues that are hotbed topics today. Crime in Houston is at its highest peak in years and this storyline touches bases with causes and solutions using humor, drama, music and even dance to open the minds of society to the possibility of a world where the majority of at-risk youth don’t have to live at-risk, and a future for our next generation devoid of hate.Read more
