Dance Du Coeur presents Coalesce at Matchbox 2 on May 23rd, 2026. Coalesce is a collection of works from our Pre-Professional program featuring faculty choreographers Jesus Acosta, Carol Anglin, Dawn Dippel, Randall Flinn, Bria Greenwood, Paulina Guraieb, Olivia Morrow, and Seungyeon Yoo, as well as premieres by student choreographers.Read more

Mind The Gap XXXIX

Dance Source Houston is excited to present the 39th edition of Mind The Gap on May 19, 2026. This program will feature works from a range of dance forms by local choreographers, including Brittany Bass, Adam Castaneda (The Pilot Dance Project), Shelby Craze, Jessie Ferguson (BOOT Dance Project), Deontay Gray, Adele Nickel, and Kyle Rucker. 

Join Dance Source Houston after the performance for an onstage reception to connect with the choreographers and performers of Mind The Gap 39.

Mind The Gap was created in partnership with Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston to support independent choreographers and small dance companies presenting their work. Begun in January 2017, Mind The Gap has provided a platform for more than 150 local dancemakers to date. The program helps choreographers propel their works from the studio to the stage and exposes audiences to new dance makers and styles.Read more

They’re back… When anything goes wrong at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, a Herdman probably did it! So when the teacher assigns a project that forces the students to think of compliments for their classmates – including the Herdmans – we learn a valuable lesson of not judging a book – or a Herdman! – by their cover!

Learning to Hold Myself Together

Experience The T.R.U.T.H. Project's Wednesday Wellness experience as you step into a gentle, community-centered space where creativity becomes a pathway to healing. This guided collage workshop invites you to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself through art.
 
Using collage as a therapeutic tool, participants will explore identity, emotion, and self-compassion by layering images, textures, and words. No artistic experience is needed, this is a space rooted in presence, not perfection.
 
The experience includes a grounding opening, intentional prompts, and a guided collage session with all materials provided. Participants will also have the option to reflect and share in a supportive environment.
 
You’ll leave with a personal collage and a deeper sense of self-awareness and connection, held in community, grounded in care.Read more

A beautifully written story, with a surprising ending. Everyone in the world should know this story, as it is a testament to the wisdom, grace, and wit that women must endure on their journey navigating the pressures placed on them.

From Kevo: "I wrote this after researching the most powerful women in history, and I have to tell this story. Cleopatra has a connection to Modern times that is often ignored." 

The play challenges who controls legacy and reminds us that history is in our hands. Cleopatra confronts the myth of power, and like my other works, Cleopatra is not a biography - it's an artistic expression of history.
