Theater LaB Houston (TLH) was founded in November 1991, as a new professional, non-profit theater in Houston.

Our founding purpose was and is to mount dramas, musicals and comedies that take our audience on an adventure as they explore the human condition and the major issues of our times. In new works by known and soon-to-be-known authors, we present subjects and ideas that, while they may amuse or confuse, are to be experienced… works that in almost all cases have never been seen in Houston,(Houston, Southwest or American premieres).

As is evident by our successful programming, TLH has achieved professional artistic recognition from national theater publications, state and local theater critics and massive response from receptive and enthusiastic audiences through our sold-out and extended runs.
