A gritty street in Weimar Berlin, an empty dressing room, a telephone ring, a whispered name... Valeska Gert.

Open Dance Project presents DADA GERT, a multi­media, immersive dance theater performance inspired by the life and work of Valeska Gert, a renegade dance/theater/­film/cabaret artist whose punk­-like “dance satires” alternately challenged and thrilled audiences in Weimar­ era Berlin, conceived and choreographed by Annie Arnoult.

DADA GERT is an intimate hour long immersive production with only 25 tickets per show. The audience stands and walks through the performance. There is no traditional audience seating. The performance is wheelchair accessible. This performance is recommended for audiences aged 13 and over.Read more

Triangle Person is a “Human Body” with a “Triangle Head”. The "Human Body" part wears a navy blue, no-nonsense swimsuit. The "Triangle Head" part wants YOU to know that they ARE a Beautiful Princess. Would you believe that some people don't think that's true? 

Triangle Person lives in the Parking Lot of Heaven. God lives right next door. He has never come by with a casserole though. But SERIOUSLY, Triangle Person doesn’t mind AT ALL. Triangle Person already has all the BFFs they will ever, ever need. Namely, Saint Mother Teresa (you know the one) and Killer Whale Tilikum (a.k.a. Chief Cumlord of the Seaworld Conglomerate). There is lots to do in the nice cloudy sky, many lives to slice, and luckily all the time in the world. A fuzzy-edged sibling drama for the only child, directed by Jason Nodler. Assemblage for Three Pianos

Assemblage for Three Pianos is a new musical performance and composition for three pianos based on the musical works of a wide swath of Houston bands, composers and musicians. Details and melodies from 72 works by these artists have been distilled into small variations by local artist Anthony Barilla. These variations will then be performed simultaneously on three pianos in a constant cycle that will last for three hours, resulting in an ambient sonic tapestry drawn from Houston's rich and diverse musical community. Read more
