Live Album Show

Mystery Loves Company

Live Album Show

A blend of original chamber, folk, and rock music played on electric instruments.

Chamber folk rockers Mystery Loves Company started in Houston, TX in 2012 as a duo, comprised of Maddy Herdeman, a conservatory-trained cellist with a highly technical musical background, and Carlos A. Machado, a self-taught guitarist from Venezuela with a passion for songwriting. The full band now includes Danny Patterson on drums and Chase Demel on keys.

This live album recording will blend their early rock songs with their more recent folk repertoire. Be ready for daring solos, tight harmonies, witty lyrics, and funky rhythms.Read more

Letras del pantano

Maribel Plasencia

Letras del pantano

A show featuring flamenco and contemporary dance with live musicians.

Letras del pantano (verses from the swamp) features flamenco and contemporary dance. Vignettes introduce the audience to moments in Renata, Pepa, and Penelope's lives, each inspired by places, sounds, and emotions experienced in a city with frequent trains and muddy paths. Each moment sparks a flamenco palo, or song form.

Letras del pantano was conceived by Maribel Plasencia in close collaboration with her twin sister, Marisa Plasencia. They will dance alongside bailaora Ana María Barceló. The show features singer Celia Corrales and guitarist José Manuel Tejeda.

This work is supported, in part, by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.Read more

My musical journey...

Walter Suhr & Mango Punch!

My musical journey...

A tribute to the music that gave rhythm to my dreams and purpose to my career.

Every artist who enjoys a long career eventually discovers the same truth: success comes from honoring what your audience has always loved while continuing to surprise them. It's about performing the songs that have become part of your identity, yet constantly finding new ways to make each show feel fresh, memorable, and worth experiencing.

That philosophy has guided me throughout my musical journey, and it is at the heart of this anniversary concert.

This performance will celebrate the music that shaped me as a musician, with a special tribute to the remarkable songs of the 1970s—a decade that produced some of the most creative, emotional, and enduring music ever written. Alongside the favorites you've come to expect, we'll revisit extraordinary gems that have stood the test of time but are rarely performed live today.Read more

The Umbilical Brothers: The Distraction

“Wildly funny, wildly creative…silly behavior of the highest calibre” The New York Times

The Umbilical Brothers are an international comedy phenomenon.

Their Nickelodeon series “The Upside Down Show”, as well as Disney’s “The Book of Once Upon A Time,"  “The Sideshow” and “Maisy” delivered them a fanbase of both fanatical toddlers and late-night, Taki-eating couch potatoes.

Named as two of Entertainment Weekly’s “100 Most Creative People In Entertainment," they have appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, after James Brown at Woodstock ’99, and before the Queen.
They’ve performed in 40 countries. From Hawaii to Tokyo, New York to Moscow, audiences have laughed like idiots at their acclaimed performances that use a fast-paced mix of movement, vocal sound effects and verbal interplay to cleverly twist theatrical rules and everyday situations into comedy triumph.
