The Wall Speaks, funded in part by the City Of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance, is not just a show it’s an immersive experience where poetry, visual art, and music collide to tell stories that are meant to be felt, not just heard.

From the moment you enter, you are invited into a gallery-style environment featuring curated installations inspired by original poetry. Each piece is paired with a scannable QR code, giving you direct access to audio performances that bring the artwork to life. This is a self-guided, interactive experience allowing you to move at your own pace, engage deeply, and connect with each story in a personal way.

The installations explore themes of healing, identity, resilience, and transformation creating a space that is both reflective and powerful. This portion of the evening is designed to slow you down, pull you in, and prepare you for what comes next.

A Study on Temptation, Desire & Consequence

Don’t Touch the Fire is a multidisciplinary experience bringing together fine art, fashion, and film. It explores temptation, desire, and consequence. Why we are drawn to things we know may not be good for us, and what happens after we give in.

The entire experience takes place within the gallery. Guests begin with a seated presentation featuring short film and a live fashion presentation. As the presentation unfolds, the models move through the space and install the artwork as part of the performance. Fashion, film, and fine art come together in real time as the gallery transforms around the audience.

After the initial presentation, guests are invited to move freely throughout the gallery and experience the finished installation. They can walk through the space, sit with the work, talk, or simply take in the environment.Read more
