A Humanity Benefit Concert for Gaza Supplies and Immigrant Aid in Houston

Artists For People is a two-night community benefit concert that brings together local Houston artists in solidarity with global and local struggles for justice. Through live performance, resource-sharing, and fundraising, we aim to support children and families in Gaza impacted by genocide, as well as our Houston neighbors affected by recent ICE raids and detentions. Our mission is to use art as a tool for collective action, resistance, and resource redistribution.

Come see dancers, musicians, vocalists, and other live performance artists in support for our local and global neighbors. This is a self-run, people-powered event featuring community-rooted art in support of Gaza supplies and immigrant aid in Houston— not affiliated with any institution — and all proceeds beyond covering the costs of this project will go directly to Gaza Sunbirds and the Houston Immigrant Legal Services Collaborative.Read more

Jazz singer and songwriter Raquel Cepeda presents her 2025 Christmas Concert on Friday, December 12, at the Midtown Arts and Theater Center in Houston, at 8:00 PM.

Enjoy a captivating selection of Christmas tunes from the traditional and jazz repertoires, featuring original jazz arrangements and heartfelt original Christmas music to warm your heart and ignite the joy of the season. This all-ages concert promises a memorable experience. 

Cepeda will perform as a septet with her talented jazz band: Barry Sames on piano, Thomas Helton on double bass, Adriano Santos on drums, Cassio Duarte on percussion, Ernesto Vega on saxophone, and Salvador Velasco on trumpet.Read more
