In Jolly Holiday, River Oaks Dance invites you on a whimsical journey beyond the sidewalk and into a story! Come along with Mary Poppins as she jumps into a chalk drawing and dances with fluttering butterflies, graceful carousel ponies, waddling penguins, cheerful ducklings, and blooming flowers—each brought to life by our youngest dancers.

Dancers of Bayou City Ballet Youth Company premiere an exciting new work by acclaimed Houston-based choreographer Robbie Moore, alongside selections from the classical ballets Coppélia and Don Quixote. Students of Bayou City Ballet School join the program with the one-act ballet The Seasons, set to the lush score by Alexander Glazunov.Read more
Bonnie & Clyde - Open Dance Project
Situated in the 1930s through original music, costume, lighting, and immersive set design, Open Dance Project's Bonnie & Clyde presents a look inward at the emotional journey of two young criminals from Texas in the midst of the Great Depression. Through compelling choreography and historical details from the duo’s journals, poetry, and letters, the couple’s sensationalized drama is peeled back to reveal the human experience of love, desperation, and violence.Read more
AMBITION
Deeper Than Dance debuts AMBITION, a contemporary dance production calling us to transform according to God's design.
The concept of AMBITION takes inspiration from a rock landscape with a descriptive story of how it fell 5 times in the creation process, but finally stood strong on the 6th attempt. AMBITION is a show calling us to empty our thoughts and transform in body and spirit according to God's Will and design.
No matter how many times we crumble in the process, our hearts will not crumble.Read more

Join Dance of Asian America (DAA) for an inspiring evening of dance featuring rising young artists and company members. This vibrant program highlights a diverse range of works rooted in Asian cultural traditions, brought to life through contemporary artistry and expression.
The evening opens with a dynamic showcase of Asian dance, jazz, and modern works performed by our emerging artists and company members. The second act features an abridged presentation of Swan Lake, beautifully performed by DAA’s talented dancers.
Dance of Asian America is a Houston-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Asian cultural heritage through dance. For over 25 years, DAA has inspired audiences, strengthened cross-cultural understanding, and nurtured generations of artists.Read more

Mind The Gap XXXIX
Dance Source Houston is excited to present the 39th edition of Mind The Gap on May 19, 2026. This program will feature works from a range of dance forms by local choreographers, including Brittany Bass, Adam Castaneda (The Pilot Dance Project), Shelby Craze, Jessie Ferguson (BOOT Dance Project), Deontay Gray, Adele Nickel, and Kyle Rucker.
Join Dance Source Houston after the performance for an onstage reception to connect with the choreographers and performers of Mind The Gap 39.
Mind The Gap was created in partnership with Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston to support independent choreographers and small dance companies presenting their work. Begun in January 2017, Mind The Gap has provided a platform for more than 150 local dancemakers to date. The program helps choreographers propel their works from the studio to the stage and exposes audiences to new dance makers and styles.Read more
Coalesce
Dance Du Coeur presents Coalesce at Matchbox 2 on May 23rd, 2026. Coalesce is a collection of works from our Pre-Professional program featuring faculty choreographers Jesus Acosta, Carol Anglin, Dawn Dippel, Randall Flinn, Bria Greenwood, Paulina Guraieb, Olivia Morrow, and Seungyeon Yoo, as well as premieres by student choreographers.Read more
