a dance-theater adaptation of the L. Frank Baum classic

Open Dance Project's beloved family audiences production follows follows Dorothy as she is swept up in a tornado and transported to the magical land of OZ where she joins a Scarecrow, a Tinman, and a Lion on an adventure that teaches her about the power of thinking, loving, and daring to be different. The performance features aerial silks, acrobatics, and moments of ASL directly incorporated into clever choreography that is sure to delight children and grown-ups alike.Read more

The evening includes original works by Mike Esperanza of BARE DanceJacob Regan, Maria Perez and NMD2 Co-Director Lauren Serrano. Additionally, this concert will feature original choreography by NMD2 company members and a special guest performance by Aidan Aloma with Sam Houston State University Department of Dance.
